LAKEVILLE (WBSM) — Two people were sent to the hospital following a crash early Sunday morning in Lakeville, while three others were also injured.

According to the Lakeville Fire Department, responders were dispatched just before 3:30 a.m. on June 30 for a reported crash on Myricks Street in which a vehicle had struck a utility pole.

The fire department said Ambulance 3 and Engine 1 arrived at the scene within six minutes, and Ambulance 2 and Car 2 later joined in the response.

Two people involved in the crash were transported to St. Luke’s Hospital with injuries the fire department said were not believed to be life-threatening. Three more people were evaluated at the scene but not transported to the hospital.

The fire department said that at the time of the crash, firefighters also responded to 42 Lebaron Boulevard, a 55-plus apartment building, for an alarm activation, which they determined was a system malfunction.
