Pretty much everyone is rushing time right now, and I'm already thinking about what resolution I need to make to myself going in the new year.

I know exactly what your thinking: Jackson, why are you skipping over all the great holidays in between? Let's face it, many of us have already made plans for 2021 and are looking forward to keeping them.

It struck me, though, that this coming new year, we have to make some new promises to ourselves. Our lives as we knew them have changed forever and we have certainly adapted the best we can. We have been able to spend a lot more time with loved ones and alone time as well.

Getting a gym membership may not be on the top of your priority list anymore. For most, the everyday tasks that were so simple are now a little more difficult and more time-consuming.

It's still so important that we practice self-care and self-love.

So yes, I have started thinking about my New Year's resolution. While I certainly need to get better at working out, I think mental fitness is important, too.

My resolution this coming year will be more about others and less about me. I'm going to focus on helping others, thinking about new ways of adapting together, and challenging one another. I think it's something I can start now and not have to wait until the New Year.

Hopefully, this got you thinking about what you can work on in the coming year. I challenge you to come up with a resolution that you haven't had before. You have a few months to think about it.
