This Just In: Boston Casting Seeks Newscasters and Radio Announcers for Movie
I've been waiting 12 years for an opportunity like this to come along.
To my friends and coworkers in broadcasting, this one is for you. Boston Casting is seeking newscasters and radio announcers for a part in a film.
All over TikTok, I've seen videos that test people's broadcasting voices in different scenarios: movie lines, breaking news, radio announcing.
I tend to go for a more "whacky" on-air delivery, but whatever your style, this could be your moment. Who knows? This role, no matter how small, just might land you on the red carpet someday. Maybe it's an Anchorman-type movie.
What do you have to lose?
To be considered, you must submit contact information, a headshot, a resume, and where you are based. If you have an on-air or television name or nickname, be sure to include that as well with your submission.
Submissions should be sent to bostoncastingheadshotandresume@gmail.com to be considered. Union and non-union actors can audition, and pay will range from $700 to $1,000 per day. More information about the project has yet to be revealed but shooting will take place during May and June in Boston.
If this interest you at all, it could be your big break. So, warm up those vocal cords, take your shot and cross your fingers.
Thre chance you take today could lead you to be on the big screen tomorrow.
