Here’s How You Can Audition for a Role in ‘Good Burger 2’ Right Here in Rhode Island
It's official- Good Burger 2 is being filmed in Rhode Island and my inner '90s child is screaming with joy.
The first thought that came to mind, with the movie set being so close to the SouthCoast, was will they have supporting roles, actors, or even extras for the movie. It turns out I was right and I just might audition for myself.
After all, "Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger, can I take your order?" has been living rent-free in my head since 1997.
Thanks to Boston Casting, a prominent and local agency in Massachusetts, you can now get the chance to work side by side with the legends themselves: Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell in the sequel to Good Burger.
According to a Facebook/Instagram page called What's Going on in Rhode Island, all you have to do is register at BostonCasting.com and when it comes time to film, cross your fingers and hope you get the call. WGOIRI states that filming begins mid-may and local businesses have already been given notices from the production company earlier this week with the following message:
Paramount and Palmetto Park RI Productions are currently in production of the sequel of Good Burger, released in 1997, The production will be filmed throughout Rhode Island from May 18th to June 22nd of this year.
A number of locations have been chosen, including the former Friendly's Restaurant at
1883 Mineral Spring Avenue in North Providence. Tentative filming will take place at 1883 Mineral Spring on May 18, 19, 24, 25, 26, 30, 31, and June 1. Please understand that filming dates often change due to weather and/or actor availability. Police details will be on hand to assist with all traffic concerns during filming and residents will always have access to their homes.
If you are receiving this flyer, it is because we feel you may be directly impacted by the filming. If you have any questions or concerns (scheduled deliveries, construction, yard work, business interruption, accessibility needs, etc.) that you would like to address with us, please do not hesitate to email or call me at the contact listed below. We would be happy to set up a time to meet and discuss with you in person if needed. We are working closely with City Hall and the local police and fire to ensure filming runs smoothly and safely.
