Two Iconic Hulk Hogan SouthCoast Moments That Will Never Be Forgotten
It was a tough week for '80s kids as we said goodbye to three iconic entertainers: Ozzy Osbourne, Malcolm-Jamal Warner and Hulk Hogan. Here at Fun 107, we were lucky enough to share a few unforgettable encounters with the Hulkster over the years.
Hulk Hogan’s Surprise Appearance at the Dartmouth Mall
Our first Hulkamania moment came shortly after the Red Sox won the 2004 World Series. At the time, Hulk Hogan's daughter Brooke had a song out that we were playing on Fun 107. She wanted to visit the studio to thank us in person, but JR had a better idea.
We invited Brooke to perform at the Dartmouth Mall, secretly hoping she’d bring her dad along. The plan worked perfectly. Brooke showed up – and so did Hulk Hogan.

I'll never forget Hogan issuing a warning to any teenage boys who might have their eyes on his daughter. He ripped off his shirt and flexed his massive arms.
“Any of you little weasels who want to date Brooke will have to get by these pythons first,” he growled.
It was all in good fun, and the crowd loved it. Hogan was a total pro, and he knew exactly how to work the room.
Hulk Hogan Calls Fun 107 Live On-Air
Hogan returned to the SouthCoast last fall during a promotional tour for his Real American Beer. As he was headed to a Swansea liquor store, he happened to be listening to the Fun 107 morning show. He decided to call into the station and asked to be patched into the studio.
It took a few minutes for our producer to convince us that it was really him and that we weren't getting punked. We were floored when we finally took the call. On the other end of the phone? Hulk Hogan. The spontaneous live interview became one our favorites.
