The fifth season can't start soon enough, but how much longer will fans actually get to enjoy Game of Thrones?

Author George R.R, Martin may not be done writing the Game of Thrones books, but producers of the hit show already know when they want to wrap things up on screen. And HBO hopes to change their minds.

Seems the network wants more than the planned seven seasons of GoT, but showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff say they don't want to drag things out and bore fans just to make another season.

And if you're wondering how another book might affect their plans...probably not at all.

This season things are going to veer from the books drastically with Sansa's storyline reportedly changing and the news that an unexpected character will die during season five.

So with things changing from the books regardless, would a book six factor into the series?

Sources say there is talk of making a Game of Thrones movie, but HBO isn't really on board with that plan. As far as Weiss and Benioff are concerned, they just want to make sure that they"go out on our absolute highest note.”

Season five premieres April 12th on HBO.
