The Gilded Age Season 4 Is Filming in Newport This Spring
It's been almost two years since the cast of HBO's The Gilded Age was in Rhode Island filming, but that could change very soon.
The show's fourth season was announced in July 2025, even before season 3 premiered, with the plan it would arrive in late 2026 or mid-2027.
Now the highly anticipated fourth season of the Emmy Award winning series is in production, with film crews said to be wrapping up in Troy, NY later this month. That wrap at New York locations should mean the arrival of crews in Rhode Island soon.

When Will Season Four of The Gilded Age Start Filming in Rhode Island?
The Rhode Island Film & TV Office recently shared the news on their Facebook page that filming in Newport would begin this April.
No specific dates have been laid out yet, and neither have details on which cast members may be in Rhode Island to film scenes.

Though considering Peggy (Denée Benton) was engaged to Newport-born Dr. Kirkland at the end of last season, she is sure to have more Rhode Island scenes as she works to win over her future in-laws who reside there.
Where Will The Gilded Age Film in Newport For Season Four?
While the exact film location details are still scarce, the show is expected to return to many, if not all, of the Preservation Society of Newport County properties they have used in past seasons.
Those properties include The Elms, The Breakers, Marble House, Rosecliff and, Chateau-sur-Mer.
The series has often shot on location at the International Tennis Hall of Fame, which was the popular Newport Casino in the late 1880s when the HBO series takes place. That location wasn't used in season 3, but could see a return for season 4.

Ochre Court on the Salve Regina campus was also used last season as the interior of Gladys Russell's new British home, Sidmouth Castle. This property is likely to be used again, as we follow Gladys' life as the Duchess of Buckingham and her pregnancy in the new season.
Benefits To The Gilded Age Season 4 Filming in Newport This April
While we wait for more details on the upcoming season's schedule in the Ocean State, fans of the show at least have a better window for traveling to see the series' stars.
Past seasons haven't arrived in Newport until late summer/early fall, often the height of tourist season. Filming in April will likely mean smaller crowds in town and better opportunities for finding overnight accommodations.
No matter when you choose to travel to Newport however, there is plenty to see and do and this list shows you.
