Honest Sandwich Teen Finds $1,300 Then Returns It To Owner
Talk about a good deed and good timing! A 13-year-old Sandwich boy says he didn't think twice when he found nearly $1,300 in cash while out walking his dog last week.
According to WCVB-TV, Jack Sheehan called his mother when he found the money on Oct. 31 and asked her how to find the rightful owner. They called police, who determined that the money belonged to the owner of the Mashpee County Store, Mohammad Ahmad. Ahmad put the bag of money on the roof of his car while on the way to the bank to make a deposit, then forgot about it. Ahmad has already given Jack a cash reward.
