Winter is a time for flus and colds. It is the season to protect oursleves by getting flu shots and keeping purell around the office and home. Here a few hollistic recommendations to help promote a sense of well-being for the winter season, courtesy of Fun 107's Local Expert, Branco Acupuncture.

Eastern medicinal practices advise consuming foods that have "Inward movement" or that are cold in nature to help balance the body during the cold weather season. Some foods that fit that list include Fresh and saltwater clams, crab, hops, seaweed, sea grass, kelp, lettuce and lotus pummule to name a few.
