Victim in Hingham SUV Crash into Apple Store Identified
HINGHAM (1420 WBSM) — The victim in this morning’s incident in which an SUV crashed into a Hingham Apple Store and killed one person while injuring 16 others has been identified.
According to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, the victim was identified as Kevin Bradley, 65, of New Jersey.
At about 10:45 a.m. today, Hingham Police received multiple 911 calls for a car that had crashed into the storefront window of the Apple Store located in the Derby Shops complex.
First responders arrived to find store workers and bystanders had begun administering first aid to multiple victims. The D.A.’s Office said 16 male and female victims “with varying levels of traumatic injuries were transported to South Shore Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Boston Medical Center for treatment.”
Bradley was pronounced dead at the scene.
The D.A.’s Office said preliminary investigation has determined the man driving the SUV, a 2019 Toyota 4Runner, had crashed through the front glass of the Apple Store. His identity is not being released at this time.
The crash remains under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police, Hingham Police and the Hingham Fire Department.
