With all the negativity going on in the world and these troubling times, I decided it might be nice to switch it up a bit. After all, nothing says "awww" like a bunch of sleeping dogs.

Yesterday, I asked the SouthCoast the question, do you let your dog sleep in bed with you?

This came about when I was struggling to get a good night's sleep with a full-sized adult collie-lab mix taking up the entire bed. To my surprise, the SouthCoast came through with thousands of votes and it was an absolute landslide.

It turns out that most people really don't mind that their dog stays in bed with them and it doesn't affect their sleep whatsoever.

I'm sorry, but when you have a dog like mine who "sleep runs" – meaning she dreams she is running so I'm the one who gets kicked where the sun doesn't shine – then perhaps you'd have a different viewpoint.

Once my article hit Fun 107's Facebook page, we were greeted in the comment section with hundreds of dogs that were caught in the act of sleeping. Pretty darn cute, am I right?

With that being said, here are a bunch of local dogs taking a nice little "cat nap" (see what I did there? Ironic if you ask me) in either their owner's bed or their dog beds:
