Happy Wet Nose Wednesday! Let's talk animals.

Hundreds of animals are patiently waiting for forever families on the SouthCoast and it is our mission to unite them with perfect homes.

Each week, we give one animal the spotlight. This week, we head to New Bedford where an adorable hound is ready to play.

Meet Bambi, a 2-year-old hound mix at Lighthouse Animal Shelter in New Bedford. She is outgoing, silly and super-loveable. Her tail always seems to be wagging.

"She may need to work on her manners (she jumps up to say hello), but she is food-motivated and eager to make people happy, so she should learn quickly with some consistency in her forever home," the shelter said.

Bambi is crate-trained, loves playing with other dogs and seems to get along well with cats.

"Bambi would love a forever family that will take her on fun adventures but one that also prioritizes some snuggle time," the shelter said.

She needs some help with obedience training, but overall, this pup is a loveable girl who would bring joy to any home.
