Free Fun Fridays have been a great way to experience some of the amazing zoos, museums and other culturally enriching venues that our state has to offer. Not to mention the great SouthCoast places like the New Bedford Whaling Museum, Buttonwood Park Zoo, and Battleship Cove of Fall River.

"From June 28 through August 30, enjoy 10 consecutive weeks of free summer fun." 100 venues welcoming visitors in a free-of-charge public celebration of culture and history that is unprecedented outside of the national museums in Washington, D.C. Highland Street Foundation has been making it happen since 2009! The purpose is to enrich people on local history and give people the opportunities to have new experiences they can share with the family. Various establishments from across all of Massachusetts have joined in the cause and have allowed people entry, free of charge. The activities include opportunities to experience such fields as those in education, housing, mentorship, health care, environment, and the arts. This is not only for those born within the state or a specific region. These opportunities have been made available to all who can attend, the young, the old, even teenagers get to enter for free. No tickets or payments required. - Highland Street Foundation
