They call it August Adventures and for years it has helped Massachusetts families enjoy historic homes, gorgeous gardens and magnificent museums. So where can you visit this summer?
Free Museums, Zoos and Attractions by Date
What many love about August Adventures is the new experiences they can try each year. This summer, as America celebrates its 250th birthday, the Highland Street Foundation has incorporated historically significant spots like the Freedom Trail in Boston and Pilgrim Hall Museum in Plymouth.

Not only that, but numerous carousels can be ridden across the state, one of America's oldest zoos can be visited and world-renowned collections of art can be viewed.
