Final Season for Magic of Lights at Gillette Stadium This Winter
If you've loved the last few years of drive-thru holiday lights, then this news is going to be sad. The Magic of Lights at Gillette Stadium has arrived for it's final season of holiday fun.
This means it's your last chance to drive through their mile long display of lights featuring a 200-foot long Enchanting Tunnel of Lights, Candy Cane Lane, Toyland, 12 Days of Christmas, Prehistoric Christmas with life-sized dinosaurs and BIGFOOT Monster Truck.
It will also be the first and last year to see their brand new 32-foot tall animated Barbie, as well as the dancing light displays synchronized to popular holiday tunes.
So much awesome holiday fun, all at Gillette Stadium for the very last time.

It is totally worth the trip to Gillette for dinner out at Patriots Place, maybe a little holiday shopping and then drive through this family favorite holiday attraction for the final time before you head home.
Now through through Sunday, December 31 the Magic of Lights will have families in the holiday spirit for the very last time.
Six Flags New England Holiday in the Park
Gillette Stadium is not alone in calling it quits on holiday light displays. Six Flags New England has opted not to bring their Holiday in the Park lights event back for the 2022 season either, meaning the park will literally go dark until the summer 2023 season begins.
No exact reason has been given by either Six Flags New England or the folks behind the Magic of Lights event, but one can assume that these drive thru light events are not as popular as they once were with less and less Covid restrictions in the world.
Presumably with more people traveling at holiday time and hosting Christmas parties once again, the need and the crowds for these types of holiday experiences are a not what they were a couple of years ago.
Luckily not all holiday lights are a thing of the past and plenty of local businesses are still decorating for the season. Not to mention new light displays coming to the SouthCoast for the 2022 holiday season too.
