If it's been a minute since you've gone to Six Flags New England, you might want to familiarize yourself with an important policy change.

A new chaperone policy was implemented as the Six Flags 2024 season drew to a close. The beta policy was in effect from day one of last season and remains in place for the current season at Six Flags New England.

What Is The Latest Chaperone Policy

The chaperone policy sets limits for guests under 18 years old, especially when it comes to nighttime visits to the park. The policy states that it will go into effect each day by 4 p.m. at the latest, though it can be activated earlier at the park’s discretion.

The policy states that guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is at least 21 years old. It also limits the number of minors that can be supervised by one adult at a time. No adult can be responsible for more than 10 minors.

Adults Must Remain In The Park

In addition, the adult chaperone must remain inside the park and be accessible at all times.

This information comes directly from the Six Flags websites for both the New England and Darien Lake locations.

Confusion Over Number Of Minors Allowed

The policy appears to slightly conflict with what is shown in a photo circulating online from the entrance to Six Flags Darien Lake in New York. That sign apparently limits the number of minors supervised by one adult to just five.

Needless to say, that could create problems for larger families.

However, the sign is either inaccurate or outdated, as it does not match the official policy currently posted on the Six Flags website.
