Fall River Staple Faneek’s Hot Dogs Targeted by Vandalism

Something ugly happened in Fall River this morning, and it struck a place that means a lot to me personally.

Faneek’s Coney Island Hot Dogs, a longtime mom-and-pop staple where my dad and I bonded over hot dogs when I was younger, was the target of senseless vandalism. The crew there is doing its best to stay positive, but it’s becoming harder each day.

A Morning Shock

Around 9:30 a.m. Monday morning, the owners of Faneek’s walked in to find their front yard display completely destroyed. They took to Facebook to share their heartbreak.

Faneek’s isn’t just another hot dog spot. It’s the kind of place where families gather, where the food is always affordable and the people behind the counter know your name.
