Fall River Chick-fil-A Closes Temporarily
There was panic in Fall River today when the SouthCoast Marketplace Chick-fil-A location was unexpectedly closed. The ripple effect traveled across social media quicker than news of this week's New England earthquake. Needless to say, people are passionate about their Chick-fil-A, so Fun 107 got on the case.
We reached out to Fall River Chick-fil-A owner Julie Gallagher to see what she could share about the situation. She was shocked to hear from us. "Oh, gosh, how are you?" asked Gallagher when we told her Fun 107 was calling. "Our water heater has temporarily broke, so we're having a plumber come out to replace the part that broke, that's all."
"I am shocked. I cannot believe the response to today's closing. We post weekly on our social media platforms, and we'll literally get one comment on each post, but this has gone insane. I wish we could get this much enthusiasm over our new menu items and things like that?" wondered Gallagher.
She's not wrong, reaction to the temporary closing of the Chick-fil-A location was strong. There was concern that the closing would be permanent. Either way, there were hundreds of comments and likes on the story.
We are here to lay your worries to rest. Gallagher assures us that the plumber will be working on the issue tonight. "As long as the plumbing repair goes well and we get signed off by the board of health then we will be open tomorrow."
So what are some of those new menu items Gallagher was hoping to push into the spotlight? "We launched our key lime lemonade and frosted lemonades which are both out now. Also, our grilled spicy deluxe sandwich."
