Adopting an animal is a special moment, and a shelter is a good place to find pets that could give you all the love you may be searching for.

This week on Wet Nose Wednesday, we give the spotlight to a cute little cat from Jamaica Plain named Sophie, who is ready to find an amazing home through Fall River-based Moby Kit Rescue.

Sophie is a young female domestic short-haired who loves to cuddle and be with other cats. She is very playful, curious, shy, quiet and a true couch potato.

“She blossomed into a snuggly companion that likes being pet and cuddled on the couch with her foster mom and foster brother,” said the shelter.

Since Sophie is skittish with strangers, the shelter shared that her future home must be very patient, adult-only, quiet, and a place where other cats live. She has not been with dogs, so a dog-free home is ideal.

Sophie’s ideal adopter must be patient and have experience working with shy cats. Sophie needs to start off with a crate in a separate room, so she can adjust to her new home and family.

Sophie is house-trained and her vaccinations are up to date. She is good in a home with other cats but prefers a home without children.

Sophie loves food and treats, as well as snuggles and toys that have a ball rolling on a track. These are some of the ways to her heart.

Does Sophie sound like a good fit for you and your family? Contact Moby Kit Rescue, to fill out an application today.
