Experts Rank 2025 Patriots Among Worst In New Power Index
Despite some major off season changes to the New England Patriots franchise, football experts still don't give the team much of a chance next season.
As they do every year, ESPN has released their latest Football Power Index (FPI), calling the Eagles, Chiefs, Ravens, Lions and Bills the elite teams in the NFL this season.
So where did they place the 2025 Patriots?
Perhaps its not too surprising that the Brady and Belichick-less Patriots are still ranked among the bottom half of the NFL's 32 teams.

Not exactly what fans were thinking I'm sure.

Maybe even an outside chance of a playoff game if my fingers are firmly crossed.
Of course, I'm no expert. Just a hopeful fan that thought this season things might start to come back together for a team that once dominated over all others.
Experts clearly don't agree with my high hopes however. The National Football League Player Association gave the team an overall low report card back in February and the latest FPI gives them only a 0.9% chance of winning this season's Super Bowl.
We'll just have to wait and see how things play out when the season starts on Sunday September 7.
