Elephant Poses For An “Elphie” On A GoPro

Selfies are not only for humans.

An elephant in Thailand thought it would be a good idea to take an “Elphie” on a GoPro camera. The photo quickly went viral after it was shared on Instagram by Christian LeBlanc from Canada. LeBlanc said that he snapped the picture two months ago on a trip to Southern Thailand.

According to BuzzFeed.com, LeBlanc came across an elephant sanctuary to feed the elephants bananas. However, the elephant had something else in mind, and snapped a picture off LeBlanc’s GoPro. On Instagram, LeBlanc explained that the time-lapse feature was already set on his GoPro, and the elephant did not actually have to push the button.
