The World Baseball Classic (WBC) has been drawing some big names both on and off the field.

From star-studded teams representing their home countries to famous faces like Bad Bunny and Timothée Chalamet in the stands, the WBC is one of the most talked about sporting events in the world right now.

Even the stars of other sports were drawn to Japan's Tokyo Dome during the event's opening weekend—including New England Patriots quarterback Drake "Drake Maye" Maye.

What Jersey Did Drake Maye Wear to the World Baseball Classic?

While many were excited by Maye's arrival at the WBC, some Patriots fans were a little disappointed in what he chose to wear as he watched Korea vs. Japan.

As you can see from ESPN's Facebook photo, Maye was sporting a Los Angeles Dodgers jersey (presumably with Japan's Shohei Ohtani's name on the back) and New England fans were not thrilled.

Comments on the photo asked Maye "what's up with that?" and "Dodgers?!?! Seriously?!?!", though people were quick to point out that at least it wasn't a Yankees jersey.

Though many attendees at the World Baseball Classic were there to cheer on Team Japan's Ohtani, some felt Maye could have done better.

Fans also suggested he should have worn a Red Sox jersey instead, with fans pointing out that Boston's left fielder and designated hitter, Masataka Yoshida, is also playing on Team Japan right now.

Surprisingly no one pointed out all the times Tom Brady was spotted wearing a Yankees hat over the years and fans still stand by him to this day.
