The New England Patriots are back in a vaguely familiar place lately, winning football games and feeling good about it. According to Fun 107 Patriots correspondent Nick Coit, the vibes aren’t just high among fans. The players have bought in, the building has energy again, and quarterback Drake Maye has been at the center of it all.

Maye’s Rise Has Changed Everything

Coit said Maye’s recent surge has completely shifted the tone around the team.

“He is what’s making everybody feel good about football again around here,” Coit said. “But now he has to balance making plays with taking care of himself. Last week’s near concussion was scary. You need him in the lineup for the long haul.”

Coit believes Maye needs to slide more and avoid unnecessary hits, especially this week against Cleveland, with a defense loaded with pass pressure talent like Myles Garrett.

Coit's Keys to Beating the Browns

Sunday’s game may look simple on paper, but Coit said it’s trickier than fans think.

“This is a defense that can get heat on a quarterback," he said. "Drake has to take care of the football. If a play’s not there, throw it away. Live to play another down.”

But Coit is still confident.

Coit’s Prediction

“I think the Pats win,” Coit said. “I’ll say 23–13. They’ll feel some pressure, but they’ll pull it out at home.”

Fantasy Sleeper of the Week

Coit is sticking with a familiar name in Kayshon Boutte.

“Every week he makes a play," he said. "Maye trusts him. That connection just works."

“Maye loves Boutte,” Coit joked.
