I was at Chuck E. Cheese yesterday with the kids. Parents buy tokens for the kids...the kids play games to win tickets...the tickets are cashed in for prizes. I was surprised at how many "casino" type games there were for the kids. Most of them were to win tickets, but some of them were to win actual tokens (you'd put in one token in the hopes to win many). Watching the little kids putting in their tokens, holding their breath and spinning the wheel...hoping to hit the "jackpot" for tickets in hopes to cash them in for plastic glasses, a ball, or a glow in the dark spider seemed a little like the kids were getting groomed for night at Foxwoods. Something just seemed out of place.
