A 16-year-old cyclist was struck by a car on Washington Street in Taunton Wednesday afternoon.

NBC 10 reports that there was a small crowd at the scene of the accident when first responders showed up this afternoon to find the teen still on the hood of the car that struck him.

Onlookers say the 16-year-old cyclist was doing tricks on his bike just before the accident happened and that he was not wearing a helmet.

Police say the teen cut across four lanes of traffic on his bike, but his injuries were minor and he was taken to Hasbro Children's Hospital as a precaution.
