Clueless Is Coming To Broadway

It has been confirmed that the 90's hit, Clueless, will be coming to Broadway, but who will play Cher? Katy Perry has expressed extreme interest in playing the Beverly Hills princess. Ugh... As if! I really would not be happy if she was cast in that role. Since it is a live adaptation of the film, the actress portraying Cher should resemble her in the best way possible.

According to Broadway.com, the film's director, Amy Heckerling, said, "Perry has expressed interest and I love her to death." She also added that she fears Perry's schedule may be a bit to hectic to take on a Broadway role. Heckerling also suggested Iggy Azalea as another possible choice.

It is clear that Azalea is a big fan of the 1995 classic as her video for "Fancy" mimics many scenes from Clueless. If I were in charge of casting I would chose Iggy in a heart beat. She resembles Alicia Silverstone, the original Cher, and by watching her video she would have no problem pulling off the role.
