To all the United States Marines out there- can I get an "Oo-Rah!"?

In celebration of the 244th birthday of one of America's finest fighting military branches, Buzzard's Bay Brewing in Westport will be cracking beers in honor of the Marines on November 10th from 4:30 - 6:30 PM.

Whether you have served in the past or present, your service alone should far succeed the recognition of just one day, but since it is a significant milestone in history, Buzzard's Bay is presenting it as a day of remembrance and celebration of the 244 years supporting the backbone of America.

Throughout this upcoming weekend- both locations, Westport and Bourne, will be offering a 25% discount to all those who have served and are currently serving on Friday and Saturday this weekend in light of Veteran's Day.

The brewery posted earlier in the week the following public message to our military and their family and friends:

"Buzzard's Bay Brewing is honored to host a celebration of the United States Marine Corps 244th birthday! This unique holiday for warriors is a day of camaraderie, a day to honor Corps and Country. Throughout the world on November 10th, U.S. Marines celebrate the birth of their Corps- the most loyal, most feared, most revered, and most professional fighting force the world has ever known. As the USMC was birthed in Tun Tavern, a brewery in Philadelphia, PA, on November 10th, 1775, it is only fitting for the celebration to take place at our favorite neighborhood brewery, Buzzards Bay Brewing.

All Marines, past and present, and family members and friends of Marines are invited to attend the party! There will be cake cutting and eating, beer drinking, and, of course, the reading of Gen. John A. Lejeune's Birthday message to the Corps." -Buzzard's Bay Brewery

The celebration will take place at 98 Horseneck Rd, in Westport this Sunday. For more information concerning this event, please reach out to Josh Bruins at joshbruins@gmail.com or 774-526-1614.

Semper Fidelis!
