Boston Bruins Female Announcer Was One of Our Own
The Boston Bruins celebrated Women in Sports Night on Tuesday, April 1 2025 at TD Garden. Each year, the organization recognizes the many women who are part of the team, crew, staff and more.
Having worked for the team since 2016, I've had the pleasure of taking part in many Women in Sports nights, but for the past few years my role has shifted for these games.
Typically I'm in the crowd, playing games with the fans and giving away prizes as the In-Arena Host. However, for Women in Sports Night, I used a different mic, serving as the PA announcer for the Bruins/Capitals matchup.

How is this different? Well, the PA announcer of a hockey game is in charge of house announcements, starting lineups, goal calls, penalty calls etc.
I'm honored and appreciative of the trust and confidence the Bruins organization has in me to take on this role. It's one that I respect and admire and I always want to do it justice and represent the organization to the best of my abilities.
In addition to the excitement of a few Bruins goals, a couple of noteworthy moments occurred when acknowledging the opposing team's accomplishments.
Washington Capitals Have Big Night
Upon reading the starting lineup for the Washington Capitals, a new face made his NHL debut. It was Ryan Leonard, the Amherst, Massachusetts native and Boston College grad.
The Capitals' star player is 39-year-old Alex Ovechkin, a veteran player who has captured the attention of the hockey world as he continues his hunt to tie and potentially surpass Wayne Gretzky's goal scoring record.
I had the chance to announce a goal by Ovechkin at the game. A historic moment as the crowd erupted when Ovi notched goal number 891, making him one step closer to the 894 record.
Despite a 4-3 loss, the Bruins game was a memorable one for me. I cannot express how grateful I am to have had this honor.
