Another year has come and gone and there were a lot of things I loved and hated about 2018, but now it's to move it along.

It's that time of year, also known as the end of the year. Time to look back and see what worked and what didn't. What was good and what wasn't. What you should do next and what you shouldn't.

I personally think it's important to take a little reflection time, which is why I make sure I do it every year. This year is no different. There were a lot of great things in 2018, but there's a lot to improve on in 2019.

Here's some of the things I hope to achieve in 2019:

1) Learn a New Skill

I had this same resolution last year and it worked out really well for me. Seeing that I work at multiple radio stations, a lot of people would often contact me to DJ events. I had no equipment and no idea how to actually DJ. I made it a point to learn that skill and add it to the tool belt. It turned out to be something I LOVE, and I don't hate what it's doing for my bank account, either.

This year I hope to find something I can love just as much and add another tool to the tool chest.

2) Find Ways to Inspire More People

This probably sounds really corny to a lot of people, but it's pretty important to me. I never really understood until recently how you much you can inspire people and have a positive effect on them. This past year a number of people have reached out to me to say that they've decided to follow their own passions because I inspired them to do that. THAT'S SO DOPE!

I hope that next year I can do that for more people. I hope now that I realize that your own struggles and successes can help other people, I can share more and help more.

3) Perform at the Improv Asylum in Boston

This is basically more of a goal, but I've been taking improv classes at the Improv Asylum in Boston for the last four months. It's one of the best decisions I've ever made and it's insanely fun. Soon I'll be eligible to audition for their house teams and perform improv comedy there on Monday nights.

If I can do it, I fully expect to see you there.

4) Stop Being Such a Fatty Magoo

I know this is EVERYONE'S resolution every year, but I really need to get it together. I'm sure you've already seen my wedding fitness challenge. Well, I'm not trying to put in all this work just for the wedding. The wedding is just one day. I want to keep myself fit and healthy from here on out. So here's hoping I'm one of the few who will stick with this one.

It's not much, but that's pretty much it. I just want to be better and encourage others to be better too. 2018 was a rough one for some. If it was rough for you, I hope 2019 brings you a whole new outlook and much more luck. If 2018 was great for you, I hope 2019 keeps the momentum going and you keep crushing it!

Happy New Year folks, and good luck with your own resolutions!
