In an era of DVR and OnDemand, are there shows you still watch live anymore?

It's that time of year. The time when favorite shows return to TV with new seasons and new shows debut in hopes of becoming your next favorite.

But with so much to choose from and so many way to watch these days are you bothering to tune in every night for something new?

I can honestly say that there aren't too many shows I would call appointment television these days.

Sure there are plenty of things I enjoy watching, but watching them at their scheduled time on live TV isn't a necessity for me.

Full disclosure, I usually can't stay up as late as some of my favorites air (lame, I know.).

Like I love Single Parents on ABC, but I can't always make it until 9:30 p.m. to watch it live.

It feels so sad to write that, but full time job and two young kids wipe we out man. I can't hang anymore.

Perhaps even sadder, the only show I do go out of my way to watch at it's actual scheduled time is NCIS.

I'm feeling a thousand years old writing all of this, but there it is. I go to bed at 9 p.m. when I can and I love watching NCIS. Yes, I am retirement home ready on the inside.

But no matter what shows you love to watch, the question is how do you watch them these days?

Are you a live TV person or a watch it on the DVR or OnDemand later person?
