Boston is about the get a whole lot funnier.

Actor and comedian Adam Sandler recently announced that he will return to the stage for the first time in three years and will stop in over a dozen cities.

Most importantly, he’ll be coming to Boston.

What Has Adam Sandler Been Up To?

According to Hypebeast, Sandler’s last on-stage performance was in 2019 for a Netflix special called 100% Fresh. He went on to star in dramas such as Uncut Gems and Hustle, both successful on Netflix.

But no matter what he does, his roots in comedy always bring him back to performing in front of a live audience.

Most recently, Sandler, who grew up just over the Massachusetts border in New Hampshire, caught the attention of fans when he appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon sporting a black eye.

Turns out it was the result of a well-made bed and an airborne smartphone.

Adam Sandler’s Live Tour Coming This Fall

But all I was concerned about was seeing two local shows pop up on the schedule.

The Brooklyn native will stop at the new MGM Music Hall at Fenway on Oct. 23 and Mohegan Sun in Connecticut on Oct. 29.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, but here’s a pro tip: Use code 'VENUE' to purchase presale tickets Thursday morning at 10 a.m. for MGM Music Hall.

After a three-year hiatus, Sandler is finally bringing his funny songs and quirky stories back to the stage.

And leave the kids at home for this one. It’s for adult ears only.
