As a kid I remember getting so excited about the holidays and Christmas in particular. Back in our day, we had to wait for the TV special to air live. No Netflix, DVR or even videotapes back then to rely on like today. And if I remember correctly, our favorite programs only aired once, that's it. Today, we can watch these holiday specials multiple times over and and over again.

Even as they get older, my kids still love the Christmas TV specials. If I had to pick which show is their absolute favorite based on their current age? I'd have to say Elf. And when they were little, they could watch The Grinch for days – both the animated classic and then the Jim Carrey version for sure.
