Set Sail for Two Weekends at Cape Cod’s Pirate Festival in Yarmouth
YARMOUTH (WBSM) — Arrrrgh you ready to immerse yourself in a land where pirates once ruled?
Set sail and drop your anchors in Cape Cod for the annual Pirate Festival. For two weekends, the Joshua Sears Memorial Field in Yarmouth will transform into a pirate village filled with costumes, fairies and entertainment.
Gather y'arself for the fourth annual event, which will run from June 1 and 2 to June 8 and 9 from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
This year's theme days include the traditional Yarmouth Day, which offers half-priced adult tickets at the door on the festival's opening day.
There is also a dress-like-a-pirate day, pirates in the sky, and a day dedicated to merfolk, fairies and fantasies.
Although it's not required to dress up, there's no doubt that it adds to the overall fun of the festival.
What Kind of Entertainment Will the Cape Cod Pirate Festival Have?
Exciting games are one of the main forms of entertainment. You'll experience new games like the "X Treasure Hunt" and classic challenges like Axe, Knife, Star throwing and more. There's something for everyone to enjoy.
The best part is that this year, the festival will offer "all-day play passes." For $45, guests can play unlimited games without worrying about running out of money.
The two weekends will also feature shows and acts that will either make you laugh or have you on the edge of your seat. A pirates' market with vendors is stationed throughout to give you and your family a much-needed shopping break from the competition.
Join the interactive bar crawl led by pirates at the Old Tom Tavern. Sip on beverages while enjoying tales of pirates or bust out in song with the Harlot Queens, who offer PG-13 entertainment.
Whether it's a day trip or a weekend experience, the Pirate Festival will be sure to take guests back in time. Tickets are available now at Cape Cod Pirate Festival website.
