A family favorite outdoor movie night is no longer. Here's why you won't be watching movies at Wareham Crossing this summer.

Back in February, word that a Tesla charging station had been approved at Wareham Crossing was making the news.

And for those patrons thinking summer thoughts, the location of the new charging station may have raised an eyebrow or two.

As the proposal for the charging station stated, things are going to be built just outside the Red Robin restaurant.

Well now that the summer season is actually here, the location is raising more than eyebrows; it's raising real concerns over the future of Outdoor Movie Nights at the shopping center.

Well, we can now say with certainty that the movie nights are going to be cancelled because of the Tesla charging station.

Since these 12 new state-of-the-art electronic car chargers are going in the area where the movie nights were typically held, for summer 2019 there will be no movies.

Sad but true, the agency for Wareham Crossing confirmed to us the cancellation is true.

So if you have a Tesla, I guess this is good news. But if you have kids that enjoyed free outdoor movies, this is definitely bad news.

No outdoor movies at Wareham Crossing anymore. Bummer.
