What Is Going In The Fairhaven Pizza Hut Building?

You may have seen the construction under way on the former Pizza Hut building in the Fairhaven Commons...so what are they working on?

The short answer...a bank.

Yup, nothing too terribly exciting, unless you are a Citizens Bank member who has been hoping for a closer location.

Work is already being done to transition the former Pizza Hut building into a Citizens Bank with 24-hour drive up ATM and night drop off.

The company working on the remodel, Bisbano + Associates out of Providence, also plan to rework the parking lot and existing spaces as well as re-do some landscaping.

So far no word on when construction would be complete and the bank would be open, but things appear to be coming along so perhaps you can be banking at the new Citizens by the end of the summer.

So next time you drive by on Alden Road and wonder what the heck they're working on, now you know it's Citizens Bank.
