This Fall River Pup Is the Life of the Party [WET NOSE WEDNESDAY]
Happy Wet Nose Wednesday! Let's talk about animals.
There are hundreds of animals on the SouthCoast waiting for a place to call home, and thanks to the love of local animal shelters, we share their stories in hopes of finding these animals the perfect family match.
This week, we head to Fall River where an enthusiastic pup is excited to meet you.
Meet Sprout. Sprout is around one year old and is a 35-pound podengo mix.
And he is the epitome of a "big goofy baby".
“That means everything is a game, everything is exciting, and he rushes towards anything new with the sort of reckless enthusiasm that you would expect from a puppy,” said Forever Paws Animal Shelter.
Sprout is excellent with other dogs that are cool with his lively energy. All he wants to do is play with them, so a canine housemate just as playful as he is would be ideal.
“We would prefer placing him with older children because he does display some possessiveness when it comes to treats,” said the shelter. “We're sure that it can be trained out of him and he hasn't snapped or lunged, but it's just as a precaution.”
Sprout doesn’t know how to play with cats just yet, so the shelter recommends a cat-free home.
He is all about his plush toys and tug toys, and he's a bouncy guy who loves to be around people. Sprout is not shy about asking for hugs and attention.
You can always count on him to be friendly.
