Hundreds of animals on the SouthCoast are waiting for the perfect forever home, and thanks to the help of local shelters, we share their stories each week.
This week, the spotlight goes to a German Shepherd in Fall River with quite the personality.
Meet Fenrir, a 3-year-old German Shepherd that has spent 65 days at Forever Paws Animal Shelter.
"Most dogs his size and energy level would have started to go kennel-crazy, but Fenrir is as upbeat and unbreakable as always," the shelter said.
Fenrir is around 80 pounds, and truthfully, some people are hesitant to bring a big boy like him home.
He may be large, but he is filled with unconditional love.
His forever family will be an active bunch that enjoys hiking, jogging and being outside. Fenrir is not short on energy and will need plenty of space to get his zoomies out.
"Fenrir is a good boy, the best boy," the shelter said. "He's polite and smart as hell and is absolutely flawless on a leash. He's a dream. He's a sweet angel baby. He deserves more and he deserves better."
For Fenrir's forever home, the shelter advises no cats, no male dogs and no small kids.
