Happy Wet Nose Wednesday! Let's talk animals.

Animals bring so much joy to a home and if you are looking to adding a pet to your family, please consider adoption.

Every week, we give the spotlight to one animal that is up for adoption on the SouthCoast in hopes of finding the perfect forever home.

This week, a sweet little pup is waiting for head pats in Fall River.

Meet Petunia. Petunia is a 3-year-old, 14-pound brussels griffon mix residing at Forever Paws Animal Shelter in Fall River.

She is the closest thing to an actual gremlin, but she falls in love pretty easily.

Petunia is the perfect dog for a single person or older couple looking for a companion.

"She walks great on a leash and hardly pulls," said the shelter. "She's a curious little girl and will start any meeting by sniffing and investigating the surroundings."

Head pats are always welcomed, but Petunia needs to warm up before she allows belly rubs.

With some time (and treats), she comes around pretty quickly.

"We're looking for an adult only home where Petunia can be the center of attention and the princess that she deserves to be," said the shelter. "If you want a goofy, scruffy little gremlin to share your space and take on some bouncy walks, Petunia is your girl."

Does Petunia sound like a good fit for you and your family? Visit Forever Paws online and click 'adopt' to download the application. Once complete, email to fpas1@foreverpaws.com or fax it to 508-677-9175.

Petunia cannot wait to meet you.

If SouthCoast Dogs Had a Dating App, It Would Look Something Like This

August 26 is International Dog Day, and it got me thinking. What if there was a way for dogs to connect with other dogs in the area to make new friends? Or maybe even find love? Twenty-six dogs living on the SouthCoast sent me their profile picture and bio. Let's see the eligible pups.
