Is the Cast of ‘Jersey Shore’ Coming to West Bridgewater?
If you are “DTF” – down to feast, that is – you’re going to want to take a trip to Barrett’s Alehouse in West Bridgewater on Sunday, March 5, as the restaurant will be hosting a “Jersey Shore Brunch.”
Barrett’s made the announcement Thursday evening on its Facebook page, with a graphic featuring the cast of the popular MTV reality show that ran for six seasons and had numerous spin-offs. The post was removed on Friday afternoon.
The show had a local connection to the SouthCoast, as one of the cast members, Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio, hailed from Johnston, Rhode Island.
Once the post hit social media, however, the hundreds and hundreds of comments mostly asked the same question: is the cast of Jersey Shore actually going to be in attendance?
“No,” said Barrett’s General Manager Bobbi Holmgren. “The cast won’t be here. It’s going to be a Jersey Shore-themed brunch.”
However, “it’s t-shirt tiiiiiiime,” as Barrett’s will be encouraging patrons to come dressed as their favorite Jersey Shore cast member. Bonus points if you reference specific moments in Jersey Shore history (like Mike and his neck brace, for example).
Some other, ahem, situations you can expect that day will be elements from the show played out in real life.
“We will pull different concepts from Jersey Shore, and make it live here,” Holmgren said. “People will recognize key things from the show.”
Those elements are still being planned out, however; Holmgren admitted that while the announcement has been made, the “Jersey Shore Brunch” is still in its planning stages.
“We just posted a teaser to see how much attention it would get,” she said.
You still have plenty of time to get your tips frosted before the big event, and on March 5 be sure to get your “GTL” out of the way early so that you can yell “cabs are here!” and get down to Barrett’s for the “Jersey Shore Brunch.”
It’s probably as close as you’d want to come to actually living that lifestyle, right?
