Wesley is a sweet, creative and helpful boy who brings curiosity and imagination to everything he does. While he may appear shy or reserved at first, he warms up quickly through play and connection. Once comfortable, Wesley’s personality shines through his kindness and sense of humor.

He tends to be quiet when talking about himself or navigating new social situations, but his creativity speaks volumes.

Wesley’s Imagination Knows No Limits

Wesley is a natural builder. He loves constructing with LEGOs and creates stunning origami art that shows his patience and attention to detail. His vivid imagination extends to inventing new games and stories.

A bright student, Wesley enjoys reading, but his favorite subject is math. He dreams of becoming an engineer one day – a career that fits perfectly with his problem-solving mind and love of creating.

The Support Wesley Needs to Thrive

In school, Wesley is a fifth grader who has close, positive connections with his teachers, who describe him as thoughtful and unique. He does best with extra support during transitions, both inside and outside of school. A structured, patient and encouraging environment helps him succeed.

Building a Connection With Wesley

Wesley would love to talk to someone consistently, starting with phone calls or virtual visits, and once comfortable, moving to in-person meetings. Consistency and trust are very important to him.

When the time comes for adoption, Wesley would do best in a two-parent household with children his age or older, though all loving family structures will be considered. His new family should offer love, guidance, structure and routine, along with positive reinforcement to help him continue to grow and thrive.

Who Can Adopt?

If you’re at least 18, have a stable source of income and have room in your heart, you may be a perfect match to adopt a waiting child.

Adoptive parents can be single, married or partnered; experienced or not; renters or homeowners; LGBTQ+ singles and couples.

As an adoptive parent, you won’t have to pay any fees. Adoption from foster care is completely free in Massachusetts.

Adopting a child from foster care includes training, interviews and home visits to determine if adoption is right for you. These steps will help match you with a child or sibling group that will be a good fit.

To learn more about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at (617) 964-6273 or visit www.mareinc.org. Start the process today and give a waiting child a permanent place to call home.
