Since July of 2019, when Ross got down on one knee and asked me that special question, I have been painting a picture of what my special day would be like. I thought that special day would be sooner, but the pandemic had other plans for my timeline. On November 7, Ross and I finally got our special moment, and the day was nothing short of perfect.

When you are engaged for almost three years, you have plenty of time to make sure it’s perfect. With an extra year thrown into the mix, I was able to file through my plans with a fine-toothed comb, hoping to eliminate any room for error. Life doesn’t work that way, however, and while there were a few hiccups, guests were none the wiser.

Did I almost forget to bring the rings? Oh yes. Did I number my tables incorrectly? Sure did. But thanks to careful planning and staying organized for the past few years, the wedding went off without a hiccup. The ceremony was emotional, the dance floor was never empty, and the décor was something out of a fairytale.
