Wareham Man’s Quick Action Saves Woman After Fall on Busy Road
A simple act of kindness is making waves in West Wareham after Marcia Sweeney Campbell fell on the side of the road.
On Sunday, March 9, while two cars drove past her, leaving her injured in the middle of the road, a young man named Evan Parmentor stopped and went above and beyond to help.
Marcia, who has cerebral palsy and was wearing leg braces, had a bad fall and was bleeding from her head.
"Two people drove by me leaving me on the road bleeding, but then this young man pulled over, asked if I was okay, gave me some tissues for my bleeding head, and drove me home since I couldn't quite walk well," she said.

In an effort to express her gratitude, Marcia has been searching for Evan, who she only knew by his first name, that he went to Upper Cape Tech, and is married.
I did some digging on Facebook until I found the man of the hour, who humbly downplayed his actions.
"No biggie, just doing the right thing," he said.
Parmentor, a West Wareham local, explained that he simply couldn't ignore the situation.
"There were two cars in front of me that just drove past, so I had to stop. She was pretty banged up," he said.
Fortunately, Marcia only sustained a black-and-blue eye and some minor knee injuries.
"It could've been way worse," she said.
Sometimes, doing the right thing is all it takes to make the world a little brighter. Thank you, Evan, for reminding us all that kindness is still alive and well.
