Wareham Police Seize 14 Stolen ATVs and Dirt Bikes
WAREHAM (WBSM) — Wareham Police seized 14 all-terrain vehicles and dirt bikes, with at least two of them known to have been stolen and the other 12 suspected of the same.
Wareham Police said that on December 27, the Wareham Police Criminal Investigation Division, the Wareham Department of Natural Resources and Massachusetts Environmental Police served a search warrant at a residence in town regarding stolen ATVs and dirt bikes.
As a result, 14 such vehicles were seized.
Two were identified as stolen – one from Fall River and one from New Haven, Connecticut – and returned to their rightful owners.
“We believe the other 12 recreational vehicles are stolen and are seeking the identity of the owners,” Wareham Police Sgt. Bryan Whalen said in a release.
