Wareham Police arrest a man following a foot chase Wednesday afternoon.

Police Chief Kevin Walsh says that at around 1 p.m. they received a call from a concerned citizen regarding a suspicious vehicle in East Wareham.

An officer found the vehicle at the Cumberland Farms on Depot St.

The driver, identified as 35-year-old Christopher Holmes, had an outstanding court default warrant and fled the scene on foot.

During the chase the suspect ran through businesses and residential properties until he was caught roughly 3/4 of a mile away.

Along with the outstanding arrest warrant Holmes is also facing charges of Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest.

Holmes was arraigned Wednesday afternoon in Wareham District Court.
