Wareham Police Arrest Man for Alleged Stabbing and Home Invasion
WAREHAM (WBSM) — Wareham Police arrested a man for an alleged home invasion and stabbing last week.
According to police, officers responded to the Woods at Wareham apartment complex on February 7 for a report of a male victim that had been stabbed.
Police said the investigation suggested that a male suspect later identified as Ian Hill, 29, of Wareham had forced his way into an apartment while armed with a knife and then violently attacked the male victim.

Hill fled the area prior to officers’ arrival, and the victim was transported to Tobey Hospital with injuries that were serious but not considered life-threatening.
Police received information the next day on Hill’s whereabouts, and located him within the Woods at Wareham complex. He was taken into custody without incident, they said.
Hill is charged with home invasion and two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
He was held on $25,000 cash bail and will be arraigned today in Wareham District Court.
