The Wareham High School Girls Basketball Team hosted a successful drive last weekend.

On Friday, January 4 and Saturday, January 5, the team requested donations of new socks, deodorant or toothbrushes. These items will be given to Wareham’s Nights of Hospitality. The program is organized by area churches and provides a warm place for the homeless to stay during winter.

Not only did the Lady Viking win two games, but more importantly will be able to hand deliver hundreds of items to the Nights of Hospitality program helping the community’s homeless.

“We would like to thank the players, parents and the community for showing their support, and a special thank you to the Wareham Police Department for their generous monetary donation. Go Vikings!”
