Vince Wilfork Released

Sad news for Patriots fans, seems the team will not be bringing Vince Wilfork back next season.

Veteran defensive tackle Vince Wilfork has been a fan favorite on the Patriots for a number of years, but after playing in New England for the past 11 seasons...Wilfork won't be back.

The Patriots informed Wilfork that they will not be picking up the option in his contract this season, making him a free agent and giving them just over $8 million in salary cap room.

Wilfork has won two Super Bowls with the Patriots and was voted to the Pro Bowl five times.
