It's only December, but this big time shot from UMass Dartmouth's basketball team felt straight out of March Madness

There's nothing more exhilarating than last second heroics on the hardwood floors. College basketball is home to some of the most memorable moments in the sport, and it seems after yesterday the book of basketball just added another page.

With seconds winding down in an intense match up between the MIT Beavers and the UMass Dartmouth Corsairs, the feeling in the arena was that of another miracle. However from first glance, it seemed that MIT would walk away victorious as they drained a 3-point shot from the corner to put their them up by 1 point. The ensuing inbound pass found itself into UMD's Chris Mendes' hands. Finding words to describe the final possession is a difficult feat, luckily one smart fan recorded Mendes' putting his team on his back. Mendes' heroics received some love nationally as this play was featured on SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays.
