Two Mass. Cities Named in Top 10 Most Affordable for Newlyweds
Starting your life with your new spouse is stressful enough without living in a community that's too expensive for you to make ends meet.
With that in mind, the website Destify ranked 310 cities across the country to see which ones are the most affordable for newlyweds. Using data like median income, rental prices and home purchase prices, Santa Clara, California is on top as the best city for the newly married.
Orem, Utah ranks second; Vista, California is third; and Quincy, Massachusetts and Greely, Colorado round out the top five.
What's funny to me about this list? When did California become so popular or so inexpensive? Before looking through this list I would have thought that there would be at least a few towns and cities from Florida, the Carolinas and even somewhere midwest.
Twenty years ago when my husband and I have newly married the apartment we were renting at the time was $600 per month and such a great location in the small village of Fairhaven. We loved it.❤️
By the way, if you're tying the knot in the next year or two, make sure you check out the Fun 107 Wedding Show this coming Sunday at White's of Westport.
