Nancy Hall told us that there would be a total lunar eclipse during this month's blood moon and we didn't even need to wake up wicked early to catch a glimpse of this one. I just happened to be up at 5 this morning and saw the last bit of crescent disappear, getting swallowed up by a rusty, brownish-red shadow. It was fascinating to witness as I've never seen this happen before. It was worth standing out on my porch in 43-degree weather since we had perfectly clear skies to watch the whole thing, too.

Of course, I couldn't let this celestial event pass us by without checking in with one of our favorite local psychic mediums, Stephanie Burke. She explained that every eclipse season brings intense and chaotic energy and this one is no different. The last two weeks have been intense coming off of a new moon solar eclipse two weeks ago. This is the last eclipse for the year and the last total lunar eclipse for the next three years. There will be plenty of partial eclipses in between.

"For this full moon eclipse, let go of what no longer serves you and anything that is holding you back," Burke said. "Are you focusing on negativity? Situations that don’t have closure? Things out of your control? As Elsa would say, let it go!"

According to Burke, it's best to focus on the things you can change and control, starting from within.

"Focus on the betterment of yourself and your immediate situations," Burke said. "This eclipse is taking place near the planet of sudden change, Uranus. This is a great time to focus on what needs to be done and utilize that universal energy for positive change. A bright full moon will illuminate situations that need change, don’t fight it. Instead, roll with it, and don’t be afraid of the outcome. No one loves change, but sometimes what’s waiting for us on the other side of change is far better than we ever expected."

Although the full moon can have an effect on all of the zodiac signs, Taurus, Scorpio, and Aquarius could feel the greatest impact. I just happen to be a Taurus myself and can attest that my life certainly feels like it's in a transformative state, releasing old bad habits and focusing on a healthier outlook.
